Wake Up Sid!!

Wake Up Sid!!

Hey guys!!

Just saw the movie Wake Up Sid directed by Ayan Mukerji and sharing my view on it with you.

Its about a spoiled son of a rich father who refuses to grow up. The main characters of this film is Sid (Ranbir Kapoor) and Ayesha (Konkona Sen Sharma). Apart for them, there are Anupam Kher as Sid’s father, Rahul Khanna as Kabir (Editor of Mumbai Beat where Ayesha was interviewed and employed).

Ranbir Kapoor did a excellent job portraying the character of Sid and so do Konkana to portray the character of Ayesha. She is a aspiring writer from Kolkata came to Mumbai for make her carrier in writing. They both met on a farewell party and became friends. Since Sid was careless regarding studies, he fails in the final exam of graduation. Then he left home after family fight with his parents. He then asks Anyesha if he could stay with her and she agreed. This is the start of the bonding of love between them.

Then the story continues and shows how Sid becomes a responsible boy. He joined the Mumbai Beat as a trainee photographer. After he got his joining letter along with the first pay cheque, he immediately ran to his father’s office and confronts his father. They reconcile and Sid’s father asks him to come home.

When Sid comes back home, he thinks constantly of Aisha. However, he remembers that she told him they can only be friends so does not consider that she might share his feelings. When the latest issue of Mumbai Beat arrives, Sid reads Aisha’s column and is startled to discover that it is about her feelings for him. He rushes in the rain to meet her at the beach where they declare their love for each other.

There are a total of 5 songs in the movie and out of them, the title song Wake Up Sid, Kya Karoon and Iktara are worth to mention.

So, if you haven’t seen this movie yet, I’d suggest you to go and watch it. Im my opinion, this is the second best movie of Ranbir Kapoor after Bachna Ae Haseeno.

Below is a Trailer of the movie which you can watch to get a good hint. The trailer is about 2 and a half minutes long.
